It is true that bankruptcy attorneys make themselves a little bit of money when doing bankruptcies for clients, but it is also true that they want to make sure that you are making the right decision in using bankruptcy as a method to eliminate your debt since bankruptcy has long-term repercussions.

But you are stuck because you are up to the hilt in debt and you need to do something about it. You have tried credit counseling, which did not work out because you simply did not have the means to make the monthly payment. You now believe that bankruptcy is going to be the only way you are going to get out of the clutches of your creditors. So you go to the library and use the internet as a means to research bankruptcy attorneys in your state that can help you make things in your life right.

Among the many sites you encountered, you found the site Get Lawyer Advice, which helped you locate bankruptcy attorneys in your state. You called the attorneys you located to ask them what their rates were and did further research to find what others thought about them. Once you finally located an attorney, you went for your first meeting in which you paid half of the bankruptcy cost up front and proceeded with the credit counseling meeting and the filing of your bankruptcy petition.

From there, your creditors received notification of your bankruptcy and stopped ringing your phone off of the hook. Yes, that feels good, but the road ahead is going to be a rocky one in an entirely different way. You may lose some of your assets, but in turn you will eventually have the chance to start over and do things entirely differently than you had done the first time.

So if you are more concerned about cost or about the quality of service you will receive, there are bankruptcy attorneys who practice in the way that will please you the most. Service is dependent upon what kind of attorney you want, so it is imperative that you do the necessary research to make a tough situation as painless as possible.
